A gas receiving station is the transition point where the delivery of gas and the national gas network passes onto the regional gas network. The gas receiving station makes sure that the gas ends up at the end consumer. The station does this transition by means of a measure and control installation that lowers the gas pressure from the national gas network to the desired pressure for the regional gas network.

The Request

The station has two rooms where preventing gas transfer during leaks is crucial. Despite a concrete brick firewall, its vapor permeability requires Ribbstyle's gastight coating for complete sealing. This ensures no inter-room gas movement, enhancing safety effectively.

Phasing

In this safety-focused assignment, a customer supervisor ensures adherence to safety protocols. Corners sealed with RibbSeal. Wall pre-treated with CorrFill Primer BN, fixing substrate and reducing absorption. First RibbFill Control Coat layer fills brick openings, finalized with another layer.

Result

The final product is a reliable gastight fire wall, preventing gas penetration. In the rare instance of a gas leak in the measure and control setup, immediate risks are nonexistent. This ensures safety measures effectively contain potential hazards, maintaining operational integrity without direct risk.
